16 Dec The Strong Female Athlete Book Out Now
I could not be more elated.
I wrote The Strong Female Athlete book because there is an immense need for evidence and experienced based education surrounding youth female athlete training – from injury reduction, to speed development, improved agility, and bolstered confidence, young girls need every bit of guidance to raise the ceiling on their physical and mental performance.
The writing process began when I realized there is no guide book out there on these performance topics.
While there are a few pediatric and medical paperbacks (check them out HERE) written by incredible female doctors and researchers, there isn’t a whole lot on long-term physical development, plyometrics progression, change of direction teaching, speed development, menstrual cycle impact on performance, growth and maturation, and strength training samples for the youth female athlete.
Moreover, there isn’t a lot on boosting confidence (except Shay’s amazing She The Confident!), and encouraging the young girls to adopt an empowered mindset, lean into discomfort, and take charge of their lifestyle habits.
Also, the science isn’t broken down in a fun-to-read, engaging manner for female athletes, coaches, and their parents. And if any of you have followed me for a length of time, I hate reading scientific studies.
Alas, this is why I dove into the literature to make sure it’s easy to digest for all, let alone, FUN to read, and why I wrote The Strong Female Athlete.
This is why I am smiling ear-to-ear to present this unique body of work.
This is why I am excited for everyone to enjoy the research, implement in their own training, and start building up their female athletes.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope you find it useful and exuberant, and implement what is outlined in the book.
