Appearance on the Just Go Play Podcast

Back in 2015, I attended the first Long-term Athletic Development Workshop. Ever.

This was when the phrase started to gain traction in the youth sports community, and amazing researchers and practioners began to start a movement of letting kids be kids, and escape the conveyor belt year-round sports system.

I was happy to connect with one of those guys again, Matt Young, on his podcast Just Go Play.

We talk about the importance of movement variety, time off from organized sport, doing what brings you joy, and why scholarships shouldn’t be the end goal.

Hint: waste of money.

You’ll see why in this episode. ;-O
