25 Dec 30 Days of Training Female Athletes, Day 22: Making Speed, Strength and Conditioning Fun
The fondest memories of sports were always the fun ones filled with laughter and smiles.
I can remember several:
– Pasta dinners
– Hotel parties at tournaments
– Road trips and carpools
– Practices with fun games and competitions
Looking back, when training sessions were a blend of hard work and fun, I felt I became a better athlete and human. I fell in love with fitness.
It is so critical to make sure young female athletes have a blast and enjoy training hard for a lifetime, so when sports end, they are excited about going to the gym, taking care of their bodies, and continuing the lifelong pursuit of strength and resilience.
