03 Jul Podcast for Teenage and College Girls on Mental Health
For the longest time, I preached physical strength to young girls.
Getting in the gym. Lifting heavy. Pushing past discomfort.
The physical side of performance was the only thing I touched on as a youth speed and strength coach, and I claimed that building strength gave girls confidence with the bat of an eyelash. I claimed that building strength was the only way to being successful in sport. I claimed that strength helped with life.
And it does.
But the truth is, while gaining muscle can bolster some degree of confidence, young girls also need to dial in on so many other factors to stay mentally healthy and prepare for the challenges of life.
This is why I started the Girls to Queens Podcast – to help young girls excel in academics, relationships, sports, career and so much more, and to show them that it takes doing the inner work in all areas of their lives to be the fullest, healthiest expressions of themselves.
