01 Nov Exercise for Confidence: Kneeling Band Pull Apart
I don’t care if it’s frowned upon to use exclamations in a blog, but to say I’m excited for this month is an understatement.
First off, my birthday is in 17 days. Second, I go to Dublin in 23 days. Third, it’s Scorpio season.
If you know anything about scorpios, we’re the best sign in the zodiac. We are passionate, loyal, caring, but at the same time, we are secretive, resentful, and destructive.
Basically, we’re a cross between an angel and a serial killer.
Anyway, this astrology lesson has nothing to do with today’s post.
Scorpios are awesome and I’ll leave it at that. ;-O
Here is this week’s Exercise for Confidence:
Why it’s awesome:
– Staple movement for the muscles of the upper back and deltoids.
– Great to work into warm up as activation before an upper body AND lower body day.
– Helps to improve stabilizer muscles of the upper back which can translate over to a better squat, deadlift and bench press.
– Done correctly, this is not just an upper body exercise. The kneeling component will reinforce that you must fire your glutes in order to prevent extension of the lumbar spine.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
