Fact: reading books expands the mind, builds new neural connections, inspires perspective, and gives you talking points on a blind date.
Who wouldn’t want to bury their head into a new text?
Personally, reading has saved my life in the facets of business, relationships, career, and love. And this is coming from a woman who is anti-self help.
A lot of books I’ve read have been anywhere from fiction to non-fiction to autobiographies to technical to nerdy to scientific to spiritual to quantum physics. By now, it should be NO surprise I’m a nerd.
To that end, however, I’ve gained a tremendous amount of wisdom from my reading pursuits.

You need not be a recovering drug addict or alcoholic to benefit from the plethora of life lessons from this book.
The meat of this book discusses why alcoholics become disconnected from their spirituality and sense of self worth, and turn to alcohol and drugs. It’s worthwhile for anyone to read because all humans have an innate tendency to allow their egos to govern the way they create their lives.
